Cross-Linked Polyethylene Diesel Tanks Since 2003

Titan Fuel Tanks was founded in 2003 out of what diesel truck owners kept asking for — the range to go farther and stay out longer. Every Titan tank is moulded in one seamless piece from XLHDPE, a cross-linked high-density polyethylene whose three-dimensional molecular structure spreads impact energy instead of concentrating it. Titan states the material carries twenty times the environmental stress crack resistance, ten times the molecular weight and five times the impact strength of the linear polyethylene used in OEM tanks, and that the U.S. Department of Defense uses the same process and material for combat vehicle fuel tanks. The tanks do not corrode, suit biodiesel, form little condensation and hold their performance at temperature extremes.
