In 2011, GM introduced a redesigned HD platform with numerous improvements, including updates to the steering system and frame-mounted components. However, the pitman and idler arms remained mounted in single shear to the center link-a known weak point. Most steering performance issues are addressed with the Cognito Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit (SKU 110-90772), which reinforces the system by converting to a double shear mount. Still, some truck owners choose to further enhance control with the addition of a steering stabilizer. This Cognito FOX Steering Stabilizer Kit is fully compatible with the Cognito Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit. For model years 2011-2014 and most of 2015, GM included OEM provisions for a steering stabilizer, requiring two mounting points: one on the right side of the steering center link and one on the left side of the frame.
