Pipe Shields solve the problem of needing spot heat protection for exhaust pipes and components. Extreme heat can rob power and potentially damage engines, transmissions, hoses, and sensitive electrical components. DEI, a market leader in thermal protection, has introduced a revolutionary advancement in pipe shield technology that greatly outperforms Mylar-backed glass fiber shields. DEI's Titanium Pipe Shield combines the high heat tolerance of DEIร's proprietary LR fiber technology with a unique rivet-based clamp shield design to improve heat dissipation and cooling. Glass fiber shields can begin to fail at 900ยฐF with the Mylar outer material cracking and flaking off. DEI's Titanium Pipe Shield provides heat protection up to 1350ยฐF. DEI (Design Engineering, Inc.) warrants its products to the original retail purchaser, with proof of purchase, to be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as the purchaser owns the vehicle on which the product was originally installed. If a product is found by DEI to be defective, DEI will, at its option, repair or replace it or refund the original purchase price. Not covered: damage or defects in the finish of a product; products that have been misused, damaged by accident or negligence, altered or modified, installed contrary to DEI’s installation instructions, or repaired by an unauthorized service facility; and products installed on vehicles used for racing or competition. The warranty does not cover labor, removal, installation or reinstallation, freight or transportation charges, or incidental and consequential damages. Claims start with the place of purchase: return the product to where it was bought for a warranty determination within thirty (30) days of purchase. If the claim is not resolved there, DEI issues a Return Goods Authorization and the product is returned to DEI prepaid with the dated proof of purchase and a written description of the problem.
