These upper control arms feature ICON's patented Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy-duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball. While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greaseable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation. ICON Vehicle Dynamics sets warranty by product line. Shock absorbers carry a 1-year warranty against manufacturer defects: a shock that fails within that first year of ownership must be shipped to ICON for inspection and service, and if inspection shows the failure came from neglect, damage caused by improper installation, or any reason other than normal wear and tear, the owner is responsible for all service costs including labor, parts and shipping. ICON's other components are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Two joint products have their own terms: the ICON Delta Joint carries a five-year warranty and a defective joint is replaced only if the warranty registration was completed within 30 days of purchase (iconvehicledynamics.com/deltajointreg), while the Delta Joint Pro carries one year from the date of purchase — neither applies to a joint used with a non-ICON suspension system, and an unregistered Delta Joint is not covered. Coverage runs to the original retail purchaser who owns the vehicle the product was originally installed on and is not transferable. ICON's obligation is limited to repair or replacement at its discretion; removal, installation or re-installation, freight charges and incidental or consequential damages are expressly excluded, and items subject to wear are not considered defective when worn. Components must be installed as a complete kit as shown in ICON's current application guide — any substitution or omission of required components voids the warranty immediately. Also not covered: finish, alterations, modifications, installation contrary to ICON's instructions, finish damage that occurs during shipping, race or competition use, and police, taxi, government or commercial vehicles. Sales outside the United States and Canada are excluded.
