South Bend Clutch, Inc. warrants its clutches to be free from defects in workmanship and material under normal use and service for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of installation. South Bend Clutch’s obligation is limited to repair, replacement or credit at its discretion for a product found to be defective, and it is not liable for losses, damages or injury resulting from misuse or improper installation. Labor is not covered, with no exceptions. Coverage must be activated by registering the clutch through the South Bend Clutch online Warranty Hub within 30 days of purchase, with proof of purchase showing the purchase date and price paid, the vehicle year, make, model and VIN, the odometer reading at installation, the installer’s details and the part number. Claims are submitted through the Warranty Hub with the warranty certificate number, the odometer reading, a description of the issue and photos of the pressure plate, disc and flywheel; South Bend Clutch reviews the claim and may examine the returned parts to decide whether the failure was caused by a defect. The warranty is not valid if: the product was not registered within thirty (30) days of purchase; the product was purchased below South Bend Clutch’s MAP price; the clutch was not installed by a certified or professional mechanic; the flywheel was not replaced with new or properly resurfaced to specification; the clutch was altered, improperly installed or damaged by accident, negligence or misuse; the transmission has failed or shows excessive wear; or the product was used for high performance or racing purposes it was not engineered for. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and vehicle. No product is accepted for warranty, repair or replacement without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Products bought from an authorized dealer start with that dealer; once the claim is approved, South Bend Clutch issues the RMA number with shipping instructions for returning the defective parts.
